Thirty-seven observations of the nucleus of Cen A (NGC 5128) were performed at a wavelength of 13.5 mm from July 1976 to March 1977 (Including two periods of 15 d sequential patrol) using a 45-ft dish at Itapetinga Radio Observatory. Virgo A was used as a calibrator. An 'event' (with flux reduction) signifying possible fast variability was observed in the 22 November-5 December 1976 period.
