The variability of 50 flat-spectrum radio sources (i.e., quasar candidates) at 962 MHz over a 2.5-yr period is investigated. The 962-MHz flux-density measurements are compared with 2700-MHz observations of the same sources over a different 2.5-yr interval. It is found that there are about as many variable sources at 962 MHz as at 2700 MHz, that the variable sources appear to be most active at the lower radio frequency, and that sources which are variable at one frequency are not necessarily active at the other. Flux-density measurements at 962 and 966 MHz performed during the period from 1972 to 1976 are also reported for the variable flat-spectrum sources BL Lac, OJ 287, and 3C 454.3. These measurements indicate that BL Lac and OJ 287 have continued to exhibit marked variability on a time scale of a few years, while 3C 454.3 has shown little sign of significant variability.
