When students collect and share observational data of the phases of the Moon, the process of compiling a master calendar of the observations is time consuming and prone to transcription errors. We are addressing this issue by enabling students to enter their data via the Internet. Not only does this automate the compilation of a master calendar, but it also makes it relatively easy for classes widely separated geographically to collaborate in a study of the Moon's phases.
