In this review I will summarize the current state of our empirical understanding of the connection between accretion (rates and states) and outflow (jets and winds) in galactic black hole binaries. In addition, I will discuss the nature of the new population of 'radio quiet' black hole binaries, and finish by exploring whether there is any evidence for black hole spin powering of jets in these systems.
