This paper deals with the problem of orbital circularization in massive close binaries. O-type binaries, Wolf-Rayet binaries, and evolved binaries with a compact companion are discussed. For all these groups, a newly proposed mechanism is quite effective in inducing orbital circularization in the close (and not so close) binaries. It is also in much better agreement with the observations than previously proposed theories.
