The Rosat PSPC (Position Sensitive Proportional Counter) pointed observations were used for a morphological and spectral study of the 30 Dor region. 30 Dor region is a high surface brightness giant H2 region located in the Large Magellanic Cloud. Its position in the sky, out of the galactic plane, together with the fact that it is the closest giant extragalactic H2 region renders it an ideal place to study the physics of such a star forming region. A contour map is presented and the contribution of the stellar component of the X-ray luminosity is evaluated. It is important to understand whether the diffuse X-ray emission could be attributed entirely to the stellar population. Otherwise the contribution of a hot interstellar medium would be required.
