A homogeneous and isotropic cosmological model of Wesson's (1984) five-dimensional Kaluza-Klein-type theory of gravity is studied. The model is valid for the radiation-dominated era of the early universe, particularly the period of primordial nucleosynthesis. A prediction was made of the He-4 abundance in an attempt to place a constraint on the theory.
