The Umbarger L6 chondrite contains previously unknown high-pressure
phases: ringwoodite, akimotoite (MgSiO3-ilmenite), augite, and
hollandite phase. Crystallization of akimotoite suggests supercooling of
the melt vein during adiabatic decompression.
