In this work we present some aspects and results of measuring proper motions of approximately 300 X-ray sources observed by the ROSAT satellite. These sources are distributed in an area located southeast of the Ophiuchus molecular cloud complex. This region is specially interesting due to the fact that it contains some isolated pre-main sequence (PMS) stars. The identification of new PMS stars and proper motion determination in this region are important to explain why these objects are far from the center of the cloud and their formation mechanism. As the PMS stars are X-ray sources, the ROSAT data are very important and interesting material to perform this investigation. About a hundred of the X-ray sources considered here form a list of possible PMS star candidates that were selected by using X-ray hardness ratio. Some of them were confirmed as PMS stars by spectroscopic analysis.
