A model of propagation in the interplanetary medium is proposed for solar cosmic rays produced in three flares observed on the eastern hemisphere of the solar disk (11 to 34 deg E) by the Prognoz satellite. The model assumes that the nature of solar-cosmic-ray propagation is determined to a significant extent by the magnetic structure of interplanetary space, which may be formed by the very same active regions in which the flares occurred. It is concluded that a spherically symmetric diffusion model can explain the propagation of solar-cosmic-ray protons with energies of at least 40 MeV.
