Mechanisms by which primordial black holes radiate gamma rays are discussed. Techniques for detecting the steady evaporation phase of primordial black holes and for detecting the final explosion of such a black hole are described, along with some recent observations of gamma-ray line and diffuse emission. A possible indirect method for detecting explosions of primordial black holes is also considered.
