Few supernovae have been detected and followed in the X-ray band beyond a few years. Late-time behavior is particularly important as an indication of late-phase stellar mass loss. A recent observation of SN1988Z shows a decline at log t -2.6, one of the steepest light curves. The steepness argues for a high density, log n > 5 and is inconsistent with constant mass-loss phase from the progenitor. An observation of SN1978K in 2003 continues a trend of decreasing temperature, but shows an increase in flux in the soft and hard bands. This increase likely translates to the shock overrunning a dense cloud or a region of enhanced mass loss from the progenitor. We present a summary of our results.
