Observations of 21-cm hydrogen line emission from eight early-type galaxies are presented. The galaxies observed include six classified as SO or SBO and two ellipticals. Only three galaxies (NGC 1023, 2685, and 4278) were definitely detected, while NGC 4546 was a probable detection. It is found that the line profile for NGC 1023 has a sharp asymmetrical peak, that the H I spectrum for NGC 2685 has the symmetric double-horned shape characteristic of highly inclined late-type spirals, that the line shape for NGC 4546 is probably not inconsistent with a double-horned structure typical of a rotating disk, and that the 21-cm line in NGC 4278 has very steep sides and resembles the spectra typical of inclined spirals.
