We review the high angular resolution observations made using the Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) of the NRAO of the high-velocity water masers toward two so-called ``water-fountain'' nebulae, W 43A and IRAS 16342-3814. The distribution and proper motions of the water masers toward W 43A suggest that the masers are in a highly collimated jet which is precessing. For IRAS 16342-3814 the detailed structure appears to be that of bow shocks on either side of a highly collimated jet; the proper motion of the water masers is approximately equal to the radial velocity and thus the three-dimensional velocities are approximately ±185 km s-1. The dynamical time scale for both sources is quite short; only about 150 --- 200 years.
