V838 has been observed by the Spitzer Space Telescope and the Spitzer MIPS infrared images clearly show extended emission around the central object that we identify as the infrared light echo. Unlike the optical light echo, the infrared light echo results from the thermal re-radiation by the dust particles heated by the light pulse from the 2002 outburst. The results obtained from the analysis of the infrared light echo are presented.
