The positions of inflection points on the light curves of type-Ia supernovae are determined. The distributions of absolute magnitudes M_B and M_V are studied for them for the first time. The standard deviation of M_B at the inflection point is ~0.47m, which is approximately a factor of 1.5 smaller than that at the point of maximum. The interstellar extinction for type-Ia supernovae is shown to be 0.9m in B, on the average.
