Photometers: Optical Design, Photometry: Short-Period Variables

Scientific paper

A 2-channel photometer has been upgraded to a WET (Whole Earth Telescope) high speed 3-channel photometer. The new 3-channel photometer was designed for investigating pulsating white dwarf stars and other short period variable stars. In this paper its construction and function are discussed and the results of an engineering run at the 85 cm telescope are presented.
