Scientific paper
Using detailed numerical models, the author investigates the synthesis
of heavy elements during the neutrino-driven "delayed" explosions of
type-II supernovae. It is shown that in present models of type-II
supernova explosions no r-process can occur, but a significant amount of
elements with mass numbers A ≍ 88 is produced.
