It is argued whether the energy spectral indices of X-ray-producing and radio-producing electrons are the same. It is shown that this is model-dependent. In homogeneous radio sources, the electron energy spectral index derived from the spectral index of optically thick microwave emission is negative and unreasonable; and that derived on the optically thin side is far smaller than the δX obtained from the hard X-ray bursts. In the nonhomogeneous radio sources, the electron energy spectral indices δR derived for the optically thin and thick sides are both equal to δX. This has verified from the view point of the energy spectral index and observational data that the X-ray-producing and radio-producing electrons may have a common population.
