We point out that there is no observational evidence from existing radio data for a supernova remnant, recently suggested to exist, in the area of the source W75 (at approximately G81.6 + 1.0). Only a very unusual and hitherto unknown type of supernova remnant could have escaped detection. We further show that there is no compelling need to invoke a supernova remnant as the common cause of several radio features, since they are at different distances.
