We discuss large-scale features in the neutral hydrogen (H I) towards Orion, as observed with the DRAO 26-m telescope. We identify features including (i) a clump of emission ≍ 3 × 6 deg2 in extent, to the west of Orion B, at negative velocities with respect to the LSR, which is possibly related to Barnard's Loop, (ii) an arc in the south-west at negative velocities, which is part of a large, expanding H I shell noted by Heiles, and which marks the outer edge of a large deficit of H I associated with the Eridanus X-ray hotspot, (iii) the elongated H I cloud associated with the Orion A and Orion B molecular clouds, (iv) H I associated with Mon R2, and (v) a clump of H I outside Barnard's Loop at positive velocities. The reported large-scale rotation of H I centred on the Orion nebula is shown to be an artefact due to the limited latitude coverage of some earlier H I observations.
