The aim of these observations is to determine the platescale of the FOC f/96 camera. The determination will be made by comparing this observation of the centre of 47-Tuc with an identical field which was obtained and calibrated as part of the last platescale monitoring proposal (4231). Additional exposures will be taken at a variety of offsets (in the coordinate x-direction, using POS TARG) in order to more accurately determine the format depen- dent, distortion due to the target scanning beam. Al observations will be analyzed off-line using CDBS and the analysis will be used to update the FOC reference files in SOGS.
