The present study of rich galaxy cluster peculiar velocities in numerical simulations of hot and cold dark matter universes identifies such clusters via a 'friends-of-friends' algorithm. It is found that the growth rate of cluster peculiar motions is larger than predicted by linear theory. It may be possible to derive the large-scale density field from cluster peculiar velocities for low bias parameters in both the cold and hot dark matter galaxy formation scenarios.
