Spectrophotometric observations obtained with the Intensified Image Dissector Scanner on the 2.1 m telescope of the Kitt Peak National Observatory and radio continuum measurements at 4885 and 1480 MHz obtained on the Very Large Array of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory are presented and interpreted for an optically complete sample of roughly 100 nuclei of bright (nearby) galaxies. The natures of the stellar continuum, emission lines, and radio sources are explored.
