We describe the results obtained from the analysis of SPICAV stellar occultations at Venus. Among several scientific objectives, this work is intended (1) to confirm the ubiquitous occurrence of a warm layer in the cryosphere and (2) to characterize the atmospheric 10 to 20 day-pulse detected in the nightside of Venus from >25 occultation sequences obtained during the first 250 Venus Express orbits. The latter can be inferred as a 1 to 2 scale height oscillation of the upper haze layer level. Our study aims at determining whether this haze oscillation is accompanied by similar oscillations in the thermal structure and by changes in the haze microphysical properties (from analysis of the UV continuum spectral slope). Confirmation of the existence of such short periodical variations of the upper venusian atmosphere would shed a new light on the dynamics activity at high altitude.
