The aim of the present analysis is to assess quantitatively the influence of the earth's atmosphere on the behavior of the signal frequency and amplitude in the radio occultation of the atmosphere from two satellites and also to study the potential of multifrequency radio occultation in studying the atmosphere and monitoring meteorological parameters. Numerical results are obtained for the refraction attenuation, absorption, and changes in frequency and refraction angle of radio waves. The analysis indicates that two-satellite radio occultation has promise up to heights of 50 km.
