We present and discuss observations of a radio source identified with a possible supernova remnant (SNR) in the irregular galaxy NGC 4449. The identification with a SNR is based on a spectroscopic study of the optical counterpart by Balick and Heckman. The radio luminosity is 25 times the present luminosity of Cas A, which suggests that it may be substantially younger than Cas A.
