In July 2010 the asteroid 21 Lutetia will be visited by the space mission Rosetta. Its taxonomic classification and its surface composition are still matters of debate.
In June 2007 we performed NAOS-CONICA observations of Lutetia at different rotational phases, in order to obtain near-infrared imaging and low resolution spectra of different portions of its surface (we covered about 7.3 of the 8.17 hours of the rotational period).
These observations allowed us to map the surface of the asteroid, investigating its composition and checking if some inhomogeneities are present.
The obtained results will be presented and discussed.
