We present in this work the study of the vertical cloud structure before, during and after the 2007 NTB Disturbance. We used Hubble Space Telescope observations of the three stages taken from the near ultraviolet (275 nm) to the near infrared (953 nm) in seven filters including the deep methane band at 890nm. Those images were complemented with ground-based observations which incorporated IRTF observations in the 2.3 μm methane band. Using our radiative transfer code, we fitted the observed centre to limb variation of absolute reflectivity simultaneously in all available wavelengths. In this way, we retrieved information on the aerosol altitude location and optical properties from 1 mbar down to 1 bar level. We found that following the disturbance there was a substantial change in the optical thickness of the tropospheric haze located below 200 mbar, together with a reddening of the particles. We also investigated the plumes which were observed to trigger the whole disturbance and found that these features reached levels above the tropopause at 100-150 mbar, overshooting to the lower stratosphere up to no less than 60 mbar. Acknowledgments: this work was partially supported by the Spanish MEC-PNAYA. We acknowledge the HST director's discretionary time (GO/DD11310) for June 5 observations. And GO/DD10782 for March 08 and May 11 data.
