We carried out three-dimensional MHD simulations of magnetized gaseous slab under high external pressure with self-gravity. Our simulations show that, in non-magnetized slab, when the external pressure is high, the incompressible mode instability becomes dominant and the slab fragments to gravitationally stable clumps. This result is consistent with the linear analysis of Elmegreen and Elmegreen (1978). When the slab is penetrated by uniform magnetic fields, the slab first fragments into filaments whose major axis is parallel to the magnetic field lines. Next, the filaments are formed to fragment into clumps.
