Results from self-consistent, collisionless N-body simulations of the evolution of globular clusters subjected to the Galactic tidal field with a realistic number are presented.
We can cleary distinguish the effecs of the Roche lobe overflow and tidal shocks, the former is due to the amplitud of the tidal field at perigalacticon, the later to its variation along the cluster orbit.
