So as to examine the structure of the old population of the disk of the
LMC, a number of regions, 3.4' in diameter each, free of supergiants,
and situated in and near the bar, were studied. Photographic
observations in B and V and photoelectric observations in the integrated
light of the UBV and DDO systems were used.
