A method for simultaneous recording of spectra of alpha-particles and protons of low energies in space is described. By uniting an electrostatic analyzer and a thin semiconductor detector connected to a low-noise recording channel, it is possible to obtain a significant lowering of the energy threshold of the alpha-particle spectrometer. It is shown that recording of alpha-particles with an efficiency of about 30-40% can be achieved starting at 40 keV. Recording efficiency increases as alpha-particle energy increases.
