In this paper we report the discovery of dramatic mode switching in pulsar PSR 1926+18 at 430 MHz. In the abnormal mode, the central component of this three component pulsar becomes extremely bright, and the other components also become somewhat brighter than in the normal mode. Switching between modes is extremely rapid, and sometimes the pulsar remains in one mode for only one pulse before switching back, Details of the shape and longitude changes of the pulse components during a mode switch are given. Key words: pulsars-node changes-pulse shapes
