The ring nebula in Lyra (NGC6720) is photographed through narrow-band interference filters (Δλ =10 Å) centered respectively on λ=5007 Å and λ=4363 Å of the [O III] lines. The observations were made with the Wray focal reducer (f/1.4) used by Louise (1974) and mounted at the Newtonian focus of the 193 cm telescope of the Haute Provence Observatory. Photometric reductions were made for two directions, one along the major-axis of the nebula and one along its minor-axis. From these photometric reductions, the ratio I(4363)/I(5007) is derived along the two axes of the nebula by using the procedure of Louise and Sapin (1973).
It is shown that the electron temperature Te increases from the ring to the centre of the nebula, in good agreement with the result of Aller et al. (1976). Furthermore, it may be noted that the outer boundary of the ring is hotter than the ring itself. Key words: planetary nebulae - monochromatic observations - temperature
