Hydrogen profiles are analyzed in Gaussian components in a region which includes the Lupus Loop SNR and parts of the Upper Centaurus-Lupus association and the Gould belt. It is shown that the Gould belt main H I-shell was strongly perturbed by the Lupus Loop SNR. As a consequence, three different clouds - two moving with negative velocity and a third one moving with positive velocities - seem to have separated from the main H I-shell.
Maps of the column densities and velocity distributions are given and values for the masses, momenta and energies are computed. The results imply that the Lupus Loop SNR would be located at the same distance as the association, i. e. at approximately 170 Pc from the Sun.
