The sensor is based on a TH7882 matrix of 567 lines and 384 columns, with 23 x 23 micron pixels. The sensor is installed in a 150 K liquid nitrogen cryostat. A dedicated Z80 microprocessor carries out data acquisition and data processing. The modified infrared telescope is applicable to observations requiring wider angles, such as close galaxies and clusters.
