A simulation program is used to study the effects of errors on the calibration process and on the uncertainty of physical parameters of the AXAF. An ideal spectrum of an X-ray source is convolved with a hypothetical true mirror and typical instrument responses in order to simulate an expected spectrum. Controlled perturbations are introduced in the mirror and instrument responses. Results are presented for exponential energy spectra with galactic absorption.
