The spectra (λλ5000 - 6800 Å, D = 14 Å/mm) of the F-supergiant HD 161796 which is at a considerable distance from the galactic plane (z ≡ 4 kpc) and of the reference star HD 20902 (F5 Ib), a member of the open cluster α Per were analysed. Due to the uncertainty of the surface gravity value for HD 161796 the underabundance of elements in its atmosphere is determined from neutral atomic lines O, Na, Mg, Si, Ca, Ti, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni. The overdeficiency of the s-process elements (Y, Ba) is more pronounced than in halo stars.
