A dust model for the formation of blue emission observed in the deep Algol-type brightness minima of young variable stars is considered. The radiation scattered by the circumstellar dust ensuring the observed turn of the color indices on the color-magnitude diagram serves simultaneously as a natural restriction on the amplitudes of Algol-type minima. The model predicts an increase in linear polarization with a decrease in brightness of these stars.
