The general relativistic kinetic theory is used to describe the cosmological fluid, which is considered as being a mixture of two gases: the gas of galaxies and the gas of QSO's. Assuming a generalized equilibrium distribution function for the latter together with rather natural supplementary simplifying assumptions, the statistical observational parameters of the model are derived. Comparing the theoretical results with the observational data, it is shown that the gas of QSO's can be described by a rather broad distribution function. This would mean that an important number of these are kinematically peculiar objects, i.e., objects having high velocities with respect to the mean motion of the cosmological fluid.
