A simple model for the bolometric light curve of a type II supernova energized by the ejecta-wind interaction at a late stage (greater than about 100 d) is proposed. The energy is deposited into the supernova envelope via the absorption of X-rays emitted from the outer and inner shock waves. It is shown that the peculiar light curves of SN 1987F and SN 1988Z at greater than about 100 d can be reproduced by this model, provided the wind density parameter is about 2 x 10 exp 17 g/cm. In the case of SN 1979C with a parameter of 8 x 10 exp 15 g/cm the shock wave may make a significant contribution to the bolometric light curve at the stage of greater than about 300 d. The effect of the light echo due to the scattering on the dust of the wind is considered. It is shown that in SN 1979C the contribution of the light echo to the bolometric light curve at greater than about 200 d may exceed the contribution of radioactivity and the shock wave in the wind.
