Galaxies of the IRAS survey selected exclusively according to the flux-density criterion are considered. In a region with the galactic latitude exceeding 30 deg, the distribution of these galaxies may be described by the simple clustering model. No sign of a large-scale structure was found. The shape of the IR luminosity function is the same as the optical one. A new method for checking this function is suggested.
