This contribution addresses the following topics: (1) The ISO 175 micron
map: a ring-like dust distribution (2) Two dust components with the
dominance of much cold dust (3) What causes M31's ring structure and how
will it evolve? (4) Search for dust in the outer disk beyond 14 kpc
radius. First results have been reported in Haas et al. (1998).
