X-ray and optical properties of 41 new AGN from the ROSAT All Sky Survey are presented. The AGN were identified on objective prism plates from the Hamburg Quasar Survey. A spectrum of the brightest X-ray source RX J16290+4007 with a rather steep energy index (+2.1+/-0.5) was obtained. The distribution in redshift and optical brightness of our sample is similar to that found for the AGN detected in the Einstein Medium Sensitivity Survey.
