Extracted sources from the Two Micron All-Sky Survey were compared with the predicted positions of more than 62000 asteroids. Over 12000 asteroids, spanning all regions of the asteroid belt (see figure), were detected in J, H, and Ks over the four years of the survey. These observations are used to probe the compositional structure of the asteroid belt and homogeneity of asteroid families. \leavevmode \epsfxsize=0.33\hsize \epsfbox{297.eps}
