Results from dual-frequency radio probing of the plasma envelope by Vega-1 and Vega-2 are used to derive the altitude profiles of electron number density in Comet Halley. In both experiments the local maximum electron number density at a cometocentric distance of about 11,500 km is observed. The average radial electron density profile shows an R exp -2 dependence in the range from 12,000 km to 50,000 km. There are two definite density bulges at distances of about 25,000 and 40,000 km.
