The problem of the minimization of the time of interorbital impulse transfers is examined. The fixed boundary orbits are found to be coplanar and circular. The local optimality of the coplanar transfers is proven. The functional dependences between the transfer time and the characteristic velocity for the optimal coplanar two-impulse transfer are found, and the two-impulse optimal transfer orbits are studied qualitatively. The local optimality is proven of these two-impulse transfers in the domain of multiple-impulse transfers between the same boundary orbits and with the same characteristic maneuver velocity.
