New short-exposure good resolution B, V, and R plates of the central region of NGC 1510 reveal a rather complex central structure of several condensations having different colours. Blue and red IDS spectra of two of these condensations show that they are low-density, slightly metal-poor H II regions with a strong underlying A-star component. One of these condensations contains a small WR star population. Using these new observations, the authors discuss the nature of NGC 1510.
