The lithium isotopic ratio 6Li/7Li is determined in four stars using high quality spectra and a fit with line profiles computed from a grid of stellar atmosphere models. The two old disk stars (β Hyi, γ Pav) and the two halo stars (HD 76932, ν Ind) are more or less old and more or less metal-deficient. The isotopic ratio observed in the old disk stars is smaller than the value found in the solar system: this is compatible with a progressive enrichment of the Galaxy with the products of spallation by the cosmic rays. In the two halo stars, the lithium feature is weaker, and therefore the isotopic ratio cannot be determined with the same precision; the authors obtain: 6Li/7Li ≤ 0.10. This low value of the isotopic ratio in halo stars is compatible with the production of the observed lithium by the Big Bang.
